The Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (GLA ALA) was chartered in 2003 and currently has 350+ members throughout the Los Angeles metro area, and is growing quickly. This chapter was formed by combining the former Los Angeles and Beverly Hills Chapters.  This new Chapter provides a dynamic force within the community for the support of our members, as well as strong representation at ALA's Regional and International levels.

The GLA ALA is an active Chapter. We host monthly luncheons for all members which feature speakers at the local and national level. Topics cover a full range of all aspects of legal administration including human resources, information systems and technology, leadership, marketing, finance and motivation.

The GLA ALA offers a wonderful networking opportunity for all of our members. Besides the monthly luncheon meetings described above, the Chapter will continue the tradition of hosting an annual Labor Law Update at the beginning of each year. This half-day seminar reviews the new laws that go into effect each year under State and Federal law.

The Association of Legal Administrators, its Regions and Chapters, are guided by the mission and goals adopted by the Board of Directors. The Association of Legal Administrators' mission is to:

• Improve the quality of management in legal services organizations;
• Promote and enhance the competence and professionalism of legal administrators and all members of the management team; and
• Represent professional legal management and managers to the legal community and to the community at large.
