We have an immediate opening for a Practice Group Business Manager. The position can be located in either our Los Angeles, New York, or San Francisco office. This position will provide leadership and guidance on strategic planning, financial performance management, administrative support and service delivery using an arsenal of analytic tools, data stores, internal contacts and previous experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Practice Group Leaders (PGL) with management of assigned Practice(s) including both day-to-day administration and strategic initiatives; working closely with Finance to review, interpret, and summarize monthly management and financial reports in order to monitor financial performance and identify issues with respect to realization, leverage, utilization and inventory; becoming an expert in supported practice area(s) and develop a thought-partner relationship with PGLs in order to drive long range strategic initiatives. Additional responsibilities include ensuring that assigned Practice(s) are receiving adequate support across all department areas. |

| Required Education: |
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of financial analysis and strategic planning experience, preferably in law firm or other professional services environment is required. Must have demonstrated program/project management experience with quantifiable accomplishments and possess excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products, as well as market research resources and financial reporting systems. Periodic travel will be required. A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, marketing or similar field is preferred, as is a J.D. or MBA. |
